I also wanted to thank Carl for putting this together - it was really fun! The company was great and the food was great!

I also wanted to let eveyone know about a music benefit for Steve Bove. He was in a group called the Marshmellow Steamshovel that used to play at the Orlando Youth Center. He played guitar. Later they were called the Snooks. If you go to my facebook page I have more information.

A musical benefit will be held at DubsDread Country Club on Sunday, July 11 to help long time Central Florida resident, musician and friend Steve Bove and family with medical expenses due to a severely debilitating illness. Many musicians will be taking the stage--including Beth McKee, Juan Perez, Bobby Caldwell, Tommy Talton, Tony Battagglia, Mike Logan, Floyd Radford, Tim Kelliher, Randy Williford, John Tegethoff, Douglas Montgomery, Bob Gardner and many others. It will be one huge delicious musical menu and all for a great cause. Door: $20. All money goes to Steve.

I sure wish Ed and I could be there. Our daughter and her husband had twins the last of March and I was here at first for 6 weeks to help. Home for about 3 weeks and now back out here until the middle of July. Ed is doing "bungee cord plane rides" during this time we are apart. I sure miss that man!! Oh, and they live in Vegas and have for over 11 years. anyway--we are sorry we will be unable to attend but it sounds super!! next time i hope--keep us posted and please send links to photos! thanks! Last night's monthly Boone Alumni Gathering at McWell's was grand! I do believe we had 50+ former Braves attend. There was so very much laughter, conversation, good food, and fun. The Boone Alumni Assoc. is having their monthly gathering, Mon., July 6, at McWells on the corner of Orange Ave. and Gatlin. Time is usually anytime after 5:30 PM. Come join the fun, conversation, and food.
This is going to be a first Monday of every month get-together.
